A Little News as School Begins

Alright, I haven't reported the news in a while, so I thought I might as well do it now while I still have a modest amount of homework. First off, Hurricane Katrina has hit the shore near Ft. Lauderdale, and forecasters say the slowing moving storm could drop 15 inches of rain on the area. Also in the news, due to sweltering heat and the loss of key transmissions lines on Thursday, Southern California officials had to impose rolling blackouts, leaving about half a million people without power for half an hour according to officials. Also, the Iraq constitution deadline has been extendended again, til Friday as the Shiites and Kurds fail to reach a consensus with Sunnis. Alright, a few more things: Gas prices have dropped a little and the FBI is probing for Chinese cyber spies. That's all the news for now. Got to go, talk to peoples later. Adios.
