Trouble in the Gulf

This morning, the mayor of New Orleans ordered a mandatory evacuation as Hurricane Katrina heads towards the Gulf Coast. Katrina is now a Category 5 hurricane with sustained winds topping out at 175 mph. Category 5 hurricanes are the most severe around. The storm surge is expected to be about 28 feet. Katrina is expected to make landfall for the second time around 7 AM on Monday. So other headlines this morning, Iraq's constitutional committee approved a final draft of the Iraqi constitution and put it before the National Assembly on Sunday, despite the rejection of Sunni Arab leaders. A suicide bomber killed 21 people in Israel. Besides that, not much in the news. All I have to say is I hope those people get out of the Gulf Coast okay. One more thing, below is a picture of the predicted path of Katrina courtesy of the National Hurricane Center.
