A Little News Tonight
Well, the Carolinas are already feeling the effects of Hurricane Ophelia as it bears down on them. The storm is moving north-northwest at about 3 mph and is expected to make landfall sometime in the afternoon Wednesday and will skirt the coast of the Carolinas before heading back out to sea where it will head away from the U.S. most likely. The death toll from Katrina in Lousiana has risen to 423 people according to state officials Tuesday. The mayor of New Orleans, Ray Nagin, said if that the EPA water quality report come back with good results, he will reopen parts of the city of New Orleans for business next week. That's most of the newest news at this time. I'll post some more info sometime tomorrow, depending on my workload. I'll also try to have another life thingy out before next week. I'll talk to people later. Have a good night, and one last thing, below is the path of Hurricane Ophelia, courtsey of the National Hurricane Center.
