Meet You At The Crossroads

Well, now that I've done my little rembrance thing for 9/11, I'm going to move on to other topics, not all happy, but some halfway decent. I'm also going to put out another life thingy based on just mostly this weekend and what's kind of happened during it. So, first I'll start off with the normal stuff, which basically means the news. President Bush is making his 3rd visit to the devasted regions of the Gulf Coast. The death toll is now expected to be much lower than orginally predicted. Hurricane Ophelia, right now a Category 1 storm with winds sustained at 80 mph might hit the Carolinas. Right now, it's expected to make landfall sometime around Wednesday night. The president's approval rating has dropped even lower now to 39 percent, reflecting the widespread doubts about his handling of gasoline prices and the response to Hurricane Katrina. That's pretty much the only intersting news right now. So onward to the life thingy. Ok, so I already talked about the background for this one. All we need know is a name. Hmmm........., let's see here. A name. A name, a name, a name. Wait..... no, that's stupid. Got it. Ok, I'm done typing my thoughts now, and the name for this life thingy is Crossroads. Life goes by so quick. It's kind of like a race. The road twists and turns. Don't follow the road all the time. Deviate from the path and make a new road, your own road. Don't follow the crowd. Sometimes your road is better, sometimes it isn't. It may put you out in front of the pack though. Make your own choices though. Don't let other people dictate what you can or can't do and what you should or shouldn't do. It's your life, it's your car, and it's your road. There are many paths in front of you. Only one choice can be made at these crossroads. Don't look back though. Sometimes you'll crash, but people will help you get going again. You are never alone, no one ever is, and you will need help at one time or another. You can't go through life alone. You can't win a race alone. With help though, you can reach your goals, and reach your dreams. You can finish first, and live the life you've always wanted to live. You can win. All you need is persistance, determination, and a bit of luck too. If you can get all those things and some good friends as well, you'll be set. So, I'll see you there, at the crossroads of life, and I hope you take the road less traveled because it might stick you in the right direction.
