A Little Gift

Well, it seems like a lot happens in the world and most of it sometimes isn't all that great, but it's good to seem something a little interesting and bringing a little hope to the world every once in a while. I'll post some more news later with what's going on in the world, but for now, here's a little news story that was pretty good I thought. A 8-year old girl with a loose tooth and a good idea decided to send her tooth to the Red Cross when it finally came out. The girl's name was Briton Nordmeyer of Brandon. She sent her tooth to the local Red Cross in Sioux Falls, where she hoped the tooth fairy would drop the money instead of at her house. The tooth poked a hole in the envelope and fell out, but the letter still got there and when word spread of her generosity, an anonymous donor sent in a $500 check. Jeff Stingley, the director of the Sioux Empire Red Cross chapter said Wednesday that the $500 check was the only one that mentioned the tooth, but he believes Briton's story prompted other donations as well. I thought that was a good story. It brings a little happiness and hopefully a little help to those down in the Gulf Coast.
