Nightly News From My World And The Rest Of The World
Alright, some nightly news before you head to bed. Hurricane Otis in the Pacific is heading towards the Baja California onf Friday, forcing many people to evacuate low-lying neighborhoods. Wildfires in California have scorched more than 20,000 acres. Firefighters were in Simi Valley standing in front of homes guarding them from the fire on the northwest side of Los Angeles. ABC News anchor Peter Jennings, who died of lung cancer in August, left an estate valued at more than $50 million, most of which was willed to his fourth wife and to two children from a previous marriage. The will was signed on April 21, 2005, 16 days after announcing he had been diagnosed with lung cancer. He died on August 7 in New York. His will lists $50 million in personal property and $3.5 million in property in New York. That's all the news in the world for now. Right now in my life, not much. I asked Keri, who is my girlfriend for people who don't know, to homecoming and she said yes. People are mad at me because I didn't do anything really special. Well, those people need to deal. I'm a freshman, and this is my first homecoming, anyway, I only need to be myself, not be someone I'm not. Stage Crew has been good. We've been doing some lighting for the musical The Spitfire Grill up in this little theatre in the school called Studio 200. Focusing the lights today was a little tiring, but it was okay. Besides that, not much going on. That's all for now, I'll talk to people later. Have a good weekend.

Why are they mad because you didn't do something special? That doesn't make sense...
It's the thought that counts, not the presentation, right?
