Been a Few Days

Ok, sorry I haven't posted in a few days, the last few days have been a little crazy, but I'll talk a little about my life later, first off is some regular news the rest of the world probably wants to hear about. Polling stations have closed across Iraq after millions of Iraqis voted today on a draft constitution to set up the framework of a democratic system to govern the nation. Early reports suggest that there has actually been little violence in the country compared to the usual amount that happens there. Days of rain in the Northeast have left the parts of it flooded with more than a foot of rain since October 7, and more rain is expected Saturday. 10 people have died due to the downpour of rain in the Northeast. Overflowing floods and rivers forced hundreds of people from their homes in New Jersey and New Hampshire Friday, and parts of New York and Conneticut are under flood warnings. The death toll of the quake in Southern Asian has now risen to nearly 40,000 people, while weather conditions haven't helped relief efforts and now made life even worse for the millions of people left homeless after the quake a week after the disaster. Heavy rain fell Saturday in many quake-hit towns and snow fell in mountains nearby, disrupting relief efforts, and stopping helicopter relief flights which were bringing supplies to the quake zone and bringing out those injured. Finally, one more note in the news, hundreds of homes were evacuated in Texarkana, Arkansas after a liquid propane gas tank was hit by a Union Pacific train car, causing an explosion. Officers went door to door and urged people to evacuate while firefighters attempted to put out the blaze. The air quality was the biggest concern because a train car carrying vinyl acetate caught fire. The evacuation was suspended four hours after the 5 A.M. crash, once police were told the fire was under control. Area hospitals reported that seven people were treated for respiratory problems or possible exposure to the fumes. Alright, that's most of the news in the world right now. Now, onto my life. My week has been nuts!!!!!!!! Even though it was a shortened week because of Columbus Day, and Wednesday I had a half day because of testing, which was really boring by the way, I had a ton of work. Tuesday, I had a late call for crew and was there from six til ten that night, and I had the same deal Thursday because we were focusing lights for a show, and they were practicing from right after school til 6, so we couldn't get in there to do any work. Then, there was the incredibly lucky day, where I didn't have any of my homework done, but my teachers didn't check any of it, well except for history and math, but I had done some of the homework I thought was due, and it turned out that that was all that was due that day, and I was able to get done math during lunch. Then, last night, Keri had opening night and did a really good job playing Helen Keller in The Miracle Worker. One show down, four to go for her, but she'll do fine based on what I saw last night. Anyway, that's pretty much it, I'm done with my deal, and that's all there is to it.
