Finally, a break in the chaos of my life, it took long enough is all I've got to say. Anyway, I'll give you a quick rundown on my crazy life before I have to go write a paper (ugh...) and resume the craziness. So, anyway, here we go, on Friday, after school, I went and did stage crew and was focusing lights for about 2 hours, then we had our Halloween Party. The foreman on crew (upperclassmen who help run it) had made the tunnel connecting the Auditorium and the Little Theatre into a "Haunted Tunnel". Quite honestly, they did a pretty good job, and the foreman and people kept popping out of random places to scare people. After everyone had gone through that, we watched a movie called 28 Days Later. It was a little strange and I really don't recommend it to anyone, if people want me to, I'll go ahead tell them about it later. Anyway, we had candy and pop and stuff during the movie, and after that, we starting setting up a few things for the Gospel Choir show, and went home around.... I think 11:00 PM, but I'm not exactly sure. So, that was Friday, onto to Saturday. Well, I had to wake up at 8:00 (too early) to get to crew by 9:00 (also too early) and we waited for a truck to show up that was supposed to show up at 10:00 AM, but guess what, it didn't show up til 1:00 PM, and I hadn't brought anything to do (like homework), so I was stuck doing nothing when I wasn't reweighting or cabling for the Orchesis show. I did try to go out to the sound booth and get some sleep, but that kind of failed, I did get to lie down for a bit though, which was nice. Anyway, the guys finally show up with the sound equipment around 1 o'clock, and we unload all that and get everything set up for the band and all the sound equipment set up too. Then, finally, we get our first and only break at about 2:30 PM, and I've only got a half an hour to go to Tasty Dog, get some food and eat it. The food was good, I recommend Tasty Dog if you want to get something good quick. Oh, I also saw Tracy and Seth on the way back from Tasty Dog. Feel better Tracy, since you hurt yourself. It was very smooth. So, we eat, we focus some more, the people performing, the Gospel Choir, show up late (big surprise). We all grab radios, and I go up into the spotlight booth and spot for the show. By the way, I don't know how the Gospel Choir is school sponsered, it felt like a church in that auditorium. I spotted for the show, and after we got rid of all the sound equipment and finally, after 13 freaking hours, at 10:30, I got out of that place. Came home, made a peanut butter & jelly sandwich (that was my dinner by the way), and went up to bed and conked out. Finally, some rest, okay, I'm done ranting (this should qualify as a rant). Now, I have to go write a paper and maybe go work on Orchesis again. WHEN WILL IT END!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! Okay, that's better, I'm done venting. Alright, now I'm done. Oh, one more thing, I do have a life thing to publish, but right now I'm too busy to publish it right now, so I'll try to do it as soon as I can. Talk to peoples later. See ya.

A Beautiful Day
The heart is a bloom
Shoots up through the stony ground
There's no room
No space to rent in this town
You're out of luck
And the reason that you had to care
The traffic is stuck
And you're not moving anywhere
You thought you'd found a friend
To take you out of this place
Someone you could lend a hand
In return for grace
It's a beautiful day
Sky falls, you feel like
It's a beautiful day
Don't let it get away
You're on the road
But you've got no destination
You're in the mud
In the maze of her imagination
You love this town
Even if that doesn't ring true
You've been all over
And it's been all over you
It's a beautiful day
Don't let it get away
It's a beautiful day
Touch me
Take me to that other place
Teach me
I know I'm not a hopeless case
See the world in green and blue
See China right in front of you
See the canyons broken by cloud
See the tuna fleets clearing the sea out
See the Bedouin fires at night
See the oil fields at first light
And see the bird with a leaf in her mouth
After the flood all the colors came out
It was a beautiful day
Don't let it get away
Beautiful day
Touch me
Take me to that other place
Reach me
I know I'm not a hopeless case
What you don't have you don't need it now
What you don't know you can feel it somehow
What you don't have you don't need it now
Don't need it now

Just a small town girl, livin' in a lonely world
She took the midnight train goin' anywhere
Just a city boy, born and raised in south Detroit
He took the midnight train goin' anywhere
A singer in a smokey room
A smell of wine and cheap perfume
For a smile they can share the night
It goes on and on and on and on
Strangers waiting, up and down the boulevard
Their shadows searching in the night
Streetlights people, living just to find emotion
Hiding, somewhere in the night
Working hard to get my fill,
everybody wants a thrill
Payin' anything to roll the dice,
just one more time
Some will win, some will lose
Some were born to sing the blues
Oh, the movie never ends
It goes on and on and on and on
Don't stop believin'
Hold on to the feelin'

GONE!!!!!!
They've done it!!!!! Unbelievable, but to the relief of thousands, ten-thousands, hundred-thousands of White Sox fans and Chicagoans, THE WHITE SOX HAVE WON THE WORLD SERIES!!!!!!!!!!!! As I promised before, I have a life thingy all ready for them. So, CONGRATUALATIONS WHITE SOX, THE 2005 WORLD CHAMPIONS!!!!! This moment will be cemented in history, and the 2005 White Sox were part of it. The name of your life thingy is On Top Of The World. You've brought the World Series and the championship back to good ol' Chicago. Thanks, it's been a long time coming, 88 years to be exact.
You started on your way. No one noticed you at first. Then, things started to happened, and you started to get some attention. You were noticed, for good reason, and started to show the world what you're made of. Everyone contributed, and everyone made a difference. You didn't have any big stars helping you out, but you defeated the best, and overcame all the odds. You beat everyone else and made it. Sometimes your skill was doubted, but you pressed on, even when everyone thought you were down for the count and done for good. You kept going, kept climbing the ladder and going farther and farther until you were there, on top of everything, and that's where you stand now. You've overcome the odds, have proved many wrong, and people believe in you. So, here you are now, on top of the world, on top of it all. You've conquered it all. Stop and savor the moment, it won't last forever. Enjoy the good times, because you never know what the next day will hold. It could be victory, it could be defeat, or something else. You're on top of the world now, but you won't always be there. Celebrate and enjoy it, and now that your here, I've got a question for you. What's Next?
And here's my answer and maybe this is your answer too: How about a repeat.
"Come on
Oh baby don't you wanna go
Come on
Oh baby don't you wanna go
Back to that same old place
Sweet home Chicago
Come on
Baby don't you wanna go
Hidehey
Baby don't you wanna go
Back to that same old place
Oh sweet home Chicago
Well, one and one is two
Six and two is eight
Come on baby don't ya make me late
Hidehey
Baby don't you wanna go
Back to that same old place
Sweet home Chicago
Come on
Baby don't you wanna go
Back to that same old place
Sweet home Chicago
Six and three is nine
Nine and nine is eighteen
Look there brother baby and see what I've seen
Hidehey
Baby don't you wanna go

So, I leave you with these parting words White Sox team members and fans, enjoy the moment while you can because soon it'll just be a memory, just a memory....

The Craziest Night Ever (Well, Maybe...)
Well, it's getting on towards one o'clock in the morning right now, and I'm really tired even though I haven't stayed up extremely late. I've been working my ass off in crew for the past two or three hours, I really don't know, it's all a blur to me. Keri did really good in her last show. She's going to take a break now from the life of acting before going out for another play, but she did a really good job so hopefully she'll get another part in a show soon. After going down the green room and finding Jimbo there, I got picked up by him at least 15 times, probably more, and then after we find out the White Sox had won Game 1 of the World Series, we got really excited. I was more excited them, but know I'm just tired, so I apoligize for not being more enthusatic. GO WHITE SOX!!!!! That's better, anyway, after that, we went in worked in Studio for a while on the lighting for The Spitfire Grill show, and I worked on that til about 12:30, at which point, Yates (a guy who works on crew) gave me a ride home and we stopped by 7-Eleven, to get something to drink, and now I'm swiging down a Cherry Coke as I type this out. Well, that was my crazy night, see you all sometime tomorrow, if I actually wake up during that time, which is somewhat questionable at this point. Anyway, that's all for now. Talk to you later. Good night, or actually, Good morning and *breaks into song* "Don't you forget about me. Don't, don't, don't, don't. Don't you forget about me. Don't, don't, don't, don't...." *song fades off into distance as I fall asleep in bed. Finally.*
"Hey, hey, hey ,hey
Ohhh...
Won't you come see about me?
I'll be alone, dancing you know it baby
Tell me your troubles and doubts
Giving me everything inside and out and
Love's strange so real in the dark
Think of the tender things that we were working on
Slow change may pull us apart
When the light gets into your heart, baby
Don't You Forget About Me
Don't Don't Don't Don't
Don't You Forget About Me
Will you stand above me?
Look my way, never love me
Rain keeps falling, rain keeps falling
Down, down, down
Will you recognise me?
Call my name or walk on by
Rain keeps falling, rain keeps falling
Down, down, down, down
Hey, hey, hey, hey
Ohhhh.....
Don't you try to pretend
It's my feeling we'll win in the end
I won't harm you or touch your defenses
Vanity and security
Don't you forget about me
I'll be alone, dancing you know it baby
Going to take you apart
I'll put us back together at heart, baby
Don't You Forget About Me
Don't Don't Don't Don't
Don't You Forget About Me
As you walk on by
Will you call my name?
As you walk on by
Will you call my name?

Or will you walk away?
Will you walk on by?
Come on - call my name

Uh-Oh (for Florida, Cuba and Mexico this time)
Well, well, well, there's still 6 weeks of the hurricane season left and guess what, we've tied a record for the most hurricanes in a season. We've had 21 hurricanes, and we've run out of names and are going to have to go to the Greek alphabet if another forms. This one, it's named Wilma by the way, has decided to become a gigantic storm. At this moment, Hurricane Wilma, is a gigantic Category 5 storm that's headed towards Mexico and Cuba before turning and heading towards southern Florida. By that time, it's expected it will be at least slightly weaker than. Anyway, wind speeds are topping 160 mph. The pressure of the system is tied for the lowest pressure ever recorded in the United States with the Labor Day Hurricane of 1935 at 892 mb (26.34 inches). The lowest pressure every recorded was 888 mb measured in Hurricane Gilbert. In the next 72 hours, it's expected that Wilma will turn and start heading for the southern tip of Florida. That's what's going on with Hurricane Wilma right now. The only other thing of note to report is that Saddam Hussein and his seven co-defendants went today to court charged with ordering the killings and torture of more than 140 Iraqis in Dujail in 1982 following an attempt to assassinate Hussein when he was visiting the town. Alright, that's pretty much all the news of interest for right now. I'll leave you with a projected path of Hurricane Wilma, courtesy of the National Hurricane Center, and a picture of Wilma superimposed over a satellite image, courtesy of Google Earth and the National Hurricane Center.

...Going...
Okay, quite honestly, I think the city of Chicago is going to be out of champagne by the end of this postseason. That's right, the Chicago White Sox have WON THE PENNANT!!!! And, as an added bonus, are GOING TO THE WORLD SERIES!!! They will play either the Cardinals or the Astros after Buehrle, Garland, Garcia, and tonight Contreras all pitched complete games 4 nights in a row. That's 36 innings of work for the starting pitchers all right in a row and through the whole series, the bullpen only pitched 2/3 of an inning. Those arms are throwing heat and the Sox are going... going... but will they be gone. It's yet to be seen, but these 2005 Chicago White Sox might become the champions of baseball. And once again tonight, the city of Chicago will be celebrating and hopefully, we won't run out of champagne, that'd be a tragedy. So, CONGRATULATIONS WHITE SOX!!!!! We'll see you on Saturday for the start of the World Series.

Been a Few Days
Ok, sorry I haven't posted in a few days, the last few days have been a little crazy, but I'll talk a little about my life later, first off is some regular news the rest of the world probably wants to hear about. Polling stations have closed across Iraq after millions of Iraqis voted today on a draft constitution to set up the framework of a democratic system to govern the nation. Early reports suggest that there has actually been little violence in the country compared to the usual amount that happens there. Days of rain in the Northeast have left the parts of it flooded with more than a foot of rain since October 7, and more rain is expected Saturday. 10 people have died due to the downpour of rain in the Northeast. Overflowing floods and rivers forced hundreds of people from their homes in New Jersey and New Hampshire Friday, and parts of New York and Conneticut are under flood warnings. The death toll of the quake in Southern Asian has now risen to nearly 40,000 people, while weather conditions haven't helped relief efforts and now made life even worse for the millions of people left homeless after the quake a week after the disaster. Heavy rain fell Saturday in many quake-hit towns and snow fell in mountains nearby, disrupting relief efforts, and stopping helicopter relief flights which were bringing supplies to the quake zone and bringing out those injured. Finally, one more note in the news, hundreds of homes were evacuated in Texarkana, Arkansas after a liquid propane gas tank was hit by a Union Pacific train car, causing an explosion. Officers went door to door and urged people to evacuate while firefighters attempted to put out the blaze. The air quality was the biggest concern because a train car carrying vinyl acetate caught fire. The evacuation was suspended four hours after the 5 A.M. crash, once police were told the fire was under control. Area hospitals reported that seven people were treated for respiratory problems or possible exposure to the fumes. Alright, that's most of the news in the world right now. Now, onto my life. My week has been nuts!!!!!!!! Even though it was a shortened week because of Columbus Day, and Wednesday I had a half day because of testing, which was really boring by the way, I had a ton of work. Tuesday, I had a late call for crew and was there from six til ten that night, and I had the same deal Thursday because we were focusing lights for a show, and they were practicing from right after school til 6, so we couldn't get in there to do any work. Then, there was the incredibly lucky day, where I didn't have any of my homework done, but my teachers didn't check any of it, well except for history and math, but I had done some of the homework I thought was due, and it turned out that that was all that was due that day, and I was able to get done math during lunch. Then, last night, Keri had opening night and did a really good job playing Helen Keller in The Miracle Worker. One show down, four to go for her, but she'll do fine based on what I saw last night. Anyway, that's pretty much it, I'm done with my deal, and that's all there is to it.

A Little Gift
Well, it seems like a lot happens in the world and most of it sometimes isn't all that great, but it's good to seem something a little interesting and bringing a little hope to the world every once in a while. I'll post some more news later with what's going on in the world, but for now, here's a little news story that was pretty good I thought. A 8-year old girl with a loose tooth and a good idea decided to send her tooth to the Red Cross when it finally came out. The girl's name was Briton Nordmeyer of Brandon. She sent her tooth to the local Red Cross in Sioux Falls, where she hoped the tooth fairy would drop the money instead of at her house. The tooth poked a hole in the envelope and fell out, but the letter still got there and when word spread of her generosity, an anonymous donor sent in a $500 check. Jeff Stingley, the director of the Sioux Empire Red Cross chapter said Wednesday that the $500 check was the only one that mentioned the tooth, but he believes Briton's story prompted other donations as well. I thought that was a good story. It brings a little happiness and hopefully a little help to those down in the Gulf Coast. That's all for now, I'll try to have some more news later tonight or tomorrow. See ya.

2:00 AM On A Monday Morning
More sleep depravation, more than last night too. Well, anyway, this is probably the latest (or earliest?) you'll ever see me post something, although I might beat it, but I somehow doubt it. You never know though. Anyway, quick recap of the last few days. Homecoming was good last night. Keri liked the corsage (I think that's how you spell it) that I got her and we took pictures and all that good stuff. Then we froze our asses off while we were walking to the school. The girls more than the guys cause we had on all these layers of course since we were dressed up. They did a nice job decorating the place, and played some good music, although not all. Most of it was rap or like rap though. Afterward we went to our bonfire and roasted marshmallows (yum!) . That was pretty much it. Oh and I slept in til 10:30 or so this morning. I was hoping to get back that sleep tonight, but no, Joffers had to insist that I go and kick his butt in Half-Life about a million times before going to bed, and now I'm writing this. Don't be surprised if you find me asleep during school and sleepwalking from class to class. Anyway, that's my deal for tonight, so in summary. Homecoming was good, I need more sleep (no surprise there, we really all do) and I kicked Joffers butt in Half-Life. Wow, that's uneventful. I'd tell you about regular news, but I'm too..... tired...........zzz.....zzzzzzz....zzz. wgaj5ril8 *falls asleep on keyboard*

It's Going...
It's on it's way. The World Series is getting closer and closer to coming back home to here in Chicago. The Chicago White Sox have just finished a sweep of the Boston Red Sox, and are heading have punched a ticket to the ALCS. They will play the winner of Yankees-Angels Series after that finishes up. The champange in flying again, and it's only been a week. I hope we don't run out of champange, it wouldn't be as fun without it. So, CONGRATULATIONS WHITE SOX!!!!!!! Let's see if you can bring the World Series back to good ol' Chicago. If they do, well, I'll have a life thingy ready for them if they do win the World Series, but let's wait and see. As for Cubs fans, I must say I am mostly a Cubs fan, but guess what, I'll be happy if we get the World Series, and you should be too. It may be a rivalry, but you should still be happy for them if they do well. One more thing, the Sox are winning, and they aren't dying trying. So, that's my deal, get on with your lives and Chicago, let's celebrate. Again.

Two Roads
Okay, well, I've been kind of randomly thinking about stuff, and have come up with this. I don't even know if it's a life thingy because this is more about my life then just life in general. It was kind of random and spontaneous, and a real life thingy will come out of this, but for now I think it qualifies as a life thingy, so that's what it'll be. Guys, Gals, and the rest of the crew and people I know and get along with, this is for you. You know who you are, and if you don't, I hope this shows you something. Here it comes, it's deeper than usual, so I hope you like it. I think you will, but that's my opinion.
I have lived in Chicago now for about 7 years now, pretty much most of my life. I've lived here, made friends, and lost friends, and discovered more. I've grown up here, and this is really my home. The only real one I've ever had. The other places where I don't remember much about or I didn't live there very long. This has become the place that I've grown attached to. Life coming out here was a little confusing. I'd lost a friend, a good friend back in Crawfordsville, and now we moved to this new place, for the third time in my life, we were being uprooted, and moved somewhere else. Eventually though, I got used to it. I started to make some new friends, and got used to things here. I got used to things, and life has been good. There has been the occasional hiccup, but all in all, I really can't complain too much. The only reason it's been that way, though, is because of my friends. I've had pretty damn (yes, damn) unbelievable friends, and I don't know what I'd do without them. Hope you guys see this. This is for all of them, the ones I've just met and the ones I've known for I don't how long. I'm me because of you, and I hope you stay with me, cause without all of you, my life would be boring, and that's no fun. Seriously, it's not (I should know). Thanks for staying with me, even when I'm annoying as hell, which I know I can be. Joffers can testify to that. You make life interesting and fun and worth living for. I look forward to the next day with you, whatever it should bring. To finish up, I leave you a quote from a poem by Robert Frost. It goes like this:
"Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--
I took the one less traveled by,
and that has made all the difference."
Indeed it has.

Labels
Well, I have a life thingy to publish influenced by a movie I saw last night. Maybe you can figure out which one. Also, I was walking around and sitting around Priory Park, and was thinking about this. Just spending some time on my own, thinking about things, and the way they go. Anyway, I'm being really deep, and it's going to get deeper as per usual with my life thingys. Well, whatever, here you go, my new life thingy called Labels.
Life seems to be full of labels. Full of barriers dividing the world. We are told not to judge a book by it's cover, but we often do. We never get to know people, we just automatically label them something, like the jock, the princess, the nerd, the basket case, or the criminal. Then you get to know them, and find out what it's like to be them, to take a walk in their shoes. Then the labels start to disappear. They start to go away. You start to accept people, and get to know them for who they are and not who they're label says they are. People are unique, and don't all fit neatly into one little category. They are can't be labeled and shoved into categories. We judge books by covers, we don't look past, and read the story behind the cover, behind the mask. If only people could take the time, and read the book, and discover the person behind the mask, maybe we'd be better off. But, no, the world decides to look at the cover, and move on. Well, stand out from the world, read the book, and discover other people and let other people discover who you are. Discover that the world isn't just defined by labels, that people don't fit neatly into categories, and there is more. So, maybe instead of looking at the cover of the book, at the mask covering up a person, you can read the book and discover who they are.
