Nightly News From My World And The Rest Of The World

Alright, some nightly news before you head to bed. Hurricane Otis in the Pacific is heading towards the Baja California onf Friday, forcing many people to evacuate low-lying neighborhoods. Wildfires in California have scorched more than 20,000 acres. Firefighters were in Simi Valley standing in front of homes guarding them from the fire on the northwest side of Los Angeles. ABC News anchor Peter Jennings, who died of lung cancer in August, left an estate valued at more than $50 million, most of which was willed to his fourth wife and to two children from a previous marriage. The will was signed on April 21, 2005, 16 days after announcing he had been diagnosed with lung cancer. He died on August 7 in New York. His will lists $50 million in personal property and $3.5 million in property in New York. That's all the news in the world for now. Right now in my life, not much. I asked Keri, who is my girlfriend for people who don't know, to homecoming and she said yes. People are mad at me because I didn't do anything really special. Well, those people need to deal. I'm a freshman, and this is my first homecoming, anyway, I only need to be myself, not be someone I'm not. Stage Crew has been good. We've been doing some lighting for the musical The Spitfire Grill up in this little theatre in the school called Studio 200. Focusing the lights today was a little tiring, but it was okay. Besides that, not much going on. That's all for now, I'll talk to people later. Have a good weekend.

Three Life Thingys in Three Days. A New Record!

Well, I have another life thingy to publish because once again I was inspired today. Once again though, let's get some news first. Rep. Tom DeLay says he will step aside as House majority leader after a grand jury, accusing him and two others of improperly funneling corporate donations to a Republican political action committee. DeLay denied the charge saying, "I have done nothing unlawful." An Amtrak train collided with a car at a railroad crossing in Eastern Conneticut, killing two people. The accident happened just before 8 AM on the southbound tracks. None of the 130 passengers onboard were injured, but an adult and child in the car were killed while a second child was taken by a helicopter to a hospital with serious. There isn't much in the news right now, so that's it for that. Onto the life thingy. Once again, you won't have to read my thoughts because I've already got a name for the life thingy. There really isn't anything else to say right now except that once again I've broken a record by writing three life thingys in three days, which is a little creepy to me because I didn't think I'd ever do this, but I have. Well, anyway, the name is Lost and Found. Hope you enjoy the life thingy. Have a good time with it.

Sometimes you get lost in the world. You can't figure out who you are and what you want to do. You get wrapped up in everything else and lose sight of who you are and what your dreams are, but with your friends can help you head back in the right direction. To get you back on your path, heading the right way. It's hard, but with help you'll get there, even through all the chaos that everyone goes through everyday, through all the good and bad. Don't lose sight of what your after. Sometimes you have to learn to go your own way. You can't follow the world. You can't be someone else. You may have lost yourself in the confusion, in the middle of everything else, but you have to find yourself again. The world is full or chaos, don't spread it. Go your own way and try to fix things as you go. Hold on to your dreams, and go after them. Find yourself, and discover what your after. Bring some friends along the way on your journey, just in case you get lost along the way. Reach for your dreams. It may be hard to get there, but don't lose hope, don't become someone else. Be yourself, and people will respect that more than anything else. Losing yourself is easy. Finding yourself is hard.

Another Life Thingy

Alright, I've come up with another life thingy, but I'll talk to about that in a sec. First, the news. About 580,000 customers are still without power Tuesday in Louisiana, Texas, Arkansas, and Mississippi due to Hurricane Rita and Katrina. The Center for Disease Control (CDC) said Tuesday that there was only one outbreak of disease among evacuees or rescue workers that required unusual mobilization of public health resources during the first three weeks after Hurricane Katrina. The disease was norovirus, a highly contagious, but usually self-limiting outbreak of nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea common among cruise ship passengers that was reported among evacuees in Texas, the CDC said in the summary of post-Katrina illness. Dick Nugent, the mayor of the hard-hit Texas community of Nederland, said Tuesday that he had to contract with a private company in Houston to get generators to run his town's water and sewer system after he got tired of waiting for government help. As of Tuesday, 9 people have died as a result of Hurricane Rita and its aftermath. Eight were killed in Texas and one in Mississippi due to the storm. That's most of the news for now. Onto the life thingy. Alright, I've already got a name for this one, so once again you won't have to read my thoughts. Anyway, the name of this one is Answer to Question 2. The reason for that is because I was working on my science homework here on the computer, and had a thought, and it turned into a life thingy, and it came while I was trying to figure out the answer to none other than the second question. So, it seemed to work, and I decided to call it that. That's the backstory, here it is. Answer to Question 2, coming at you in about 3... 2... 1..........

The world is a crazy place, just a little weird, and a little crazy. It’s not going to change anytime soon, so we have to live with it. It’s a bit of organized chaos, things are organized, but most of the time we are living in a state of chaos, but we get through it. Life treats you that way. It’s a little nuts, a little strange, but we get through it. It just takes a while, sometimes. We have a good time, screw around, and enjoy it. That’s what life’s about. Having a good time, enjoying yourself, and being able to get through it all. Not making idiotic decisions that will put you on a street heading nowhere. Do what’s right, and make it through, you’ll have a good time. Death is unknown, but Life is a little more predictable. Do your best. That’s all anyone can ask for. You can make it. You can do it. Believe in yourself. You’ll make it. Good luck, and I’ll see you along the way.

Some News And A Life Thingy

Alright, well, I've got a new life thingy to put up, but first a little news. Residents of New Orleans were allowed back into the city to inspect and begin cleaning up their properties. In Port Author and Sabine Pass, Texas, officials conducted house-to-house searches for victims or survivors of Hurricane Katrina. An official representing a devasted New Orleans district complained Monday that some areas of the city are being left more vulnerable than others to flooding. More than 1.2 million customers are without power in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas because of Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Rita, according to the Department of Energy on Monday. That's most of the news for now. On to the life thingy. This one I just thought up while listening to some music on the radio today. I've already got a name, so you won't have to read my thoughts while I think up a name. Finally, one last note before the life thingy, I'm building a website right now. It's still a work in progress, but I'll post here when I get the site done. Okay, now the name of this life thing is called Find Yourself. Okay, that's my deal for now, I'll talk to all of you later. See ya.

Life better get ready. The world better get ready for what you are. Don't go be someone else, and be yourself. The worst may happen, people may not like you for you are, but who cares? It's your life, not theirs, and you'll find those who will like you for who you are. Do what you want and be who you are. You don't need to follow the rest of the world. Stand out, and be different. Even through the worst of times, you'll find someone, somewhere to help you on your way, and you'll make it. It make take weeks, it may take months, heck, it'll probably take years, but you''ll make it, eventually. Find the truth, find what you believe in, find your friends, and find yourself. You'll make it. You just need to try to. Believe in yourself, and don't let anyone put you down or tell you what to do. That's what you have. Find yourself, show yourself, and believe in yourself. You will have those who can help you along the way, but in the end, it's you who's going to make the difference, who will make a change, and defy the world, and show them who you are. Live for today, for tomorrow might not be there.

It Just Keeps Getting Bigger

Well, it hasn't taken long for things to go from bad to worse for people in the Gulf. Hurricane Rita has been upgraded to a Category 4 storm. At one point today, it was a Category 5 storm, though. Also, the storm has changed directions to the East and is now headed more in a direction towards New Orleans, which is going to do nothing to help them there. Flooding is expected again in New Orleans if the storm lands near there and batters the already damaged levee and pumping systems. The director of the National Hurricane Center, Max Mayfield, warned that the storm could become a Category 5 overnight. Right now, the storm is just starting to be felt by southwest Louisiana even though landfall is not predicted until sometime Saturday. Many of the citizens from Houston and other places in Texas heeded the warnings, perhaps even too well. The highways were packed with people trying to get out of the area, and many cars were breaking down or running out of fuel on the way out, which may make things very difficult. Those who went looking for gas found that many of the stations were out or you had to wait in long lines in the stations that were open. In some other news, last night, a Jetblue pilot flying an Airbus A320 made an absolutely incredible landing at the Los Angles Airport. After taking off, the front wheel was found to have somehow turned sideways, and the pilot was able to land the plane the perfectly on the runway. The gear didn't even collapse, the only thing was the wheel burned up due to the heat from the friction, and everyone was ok and eventually go on to JFK Airport where the flight was originally headed towards. The plane circled for about 3 hours to burn off fuel before the plane landed. Due to the satellite TV onboard the plane, the passengers onboard were actually able to see news about the flight and there eventual landing. That's all the news for now. I'll try to have an update on Rita sometime tomorrow, and Saturday when it is supposed to make landfall. Right now, here's the path of Hurricane Rita and a picture of Hurricane Rita, both courtesy of the National Hurricane Center, and the picture superimposed on a satellite image, thanks to Google Earth, to give you an idea how big this storm is.

Two Morph Into One

Well, I have a new life thingy, which I'll talk about a little later, but first some news. Hurricane Rita has now become a Category 2 storm, with maximum sustained winds at 100 mph. Right now, it's still pounding the Florida Keys and southern tip of Florida. It never made official landfall anywhere. The predictions show now though, that the storm could be heading for Galveston, Texas, and most likely will not hit New Orleans. The people in Galveston are gearing up after the mayor of Galveston, Texas declared a state of emergency and has ordered some mandatory evacuations. The National Hurricane Center says that Rita could become a Category 4 storm by Wednesday. As of 5 p.m. ET, the storm was centered about 50 miles south-southwest of Key West and 55 miles north-northeast of Havana, Cuba. Rita is moving west at about 15 mph. Also in the news, four arm commandos on skis dropped by helicopter Tuesday onto an Antarctic glacier to search for two Argentine men who plunged into a deep ice crevasse in a weekend snowmobiling accident. More than 70 hours have elapsed since the accident, and the commandos will try to get the men out of the 180-foot crack. That's most of the news for now, so onto the life thingy. This life thing was originally two smaller ones that I decided to put together to create one full life thingy. All that's left now is a name. Hmmm......ummmm......... let's see, a-ha, got it. One more thing, thank you to Paul Simon and his song Sound of Silence, which was the inspiration for part of this, so THANK YOU!!! Ok, no more thoughts and ramblings by me now, here is my life thingy with the usual picture. Hope you enjoy it. The name is Freeze a Moment.

Life is loud. Sometimes too loud. You have to stop and let silence fill the gap sometimes. You need to hear silence. The peace, the tranquility, and the way life is without all the distractions. Do it to get away from the chaos, become inspired. You have to freeze a moment, and make the clock stop, and enjoy life while you've got it. You need to slow down, and experience life. Your life is a short glimpse into the world. You can't let it get away. It maybe bad sometimes, but it'll get better. Begin your day, start you life. Live it well, and meet some people. The end of the day comes quick, so make sure you enjoy the beautiful sunset, and let silence fill your ears. So, stop the noise, take a moment, and let silence come and fill your life for a few moments, and get away, even if just for a second. You may find it calming. You may find it nice, and you'll discover what's so great about a few seconds of silence. Even though there is nothing there, you'll hear and discover so much.

Uh-Oh, More Hurricanes A-Coming As NASA Unveils Something Familiar

Well, once again, like last week, I had a good morning and a crappy afternoon, courtsey of a migrane. Once again, though, like last week, I'm not going to annoy or bore you with my problems because they're mine and I'll get over them, and other people in the world have much bigger problems. So, as the title states, more hurricanes are on there way. Tropical Storm (not a hurricane, yet) Rita was clocked at 70 mph at 2 PM ET, just 4 mph short of hurricane strength. Rita's center was 165 miles southeast of the Bahamian capital, Nassau, moving west-northwest at 14 mph. A hurricane warning is in effect for the Exumas and for Andros Island in the Bahamas and in Florida from Golden Beach southward to Florida City and westward to East Cape Sable. The warning also includes the Keys from Ocean Reef to the Dry Tortugas. Tourists were to told to leave the Keys on Sunday. Miami-Dade County is also under a hurricane warning (hope my folks there will be ok). It's expected that Rita will become a hurricane sometime Monday night. The storm has also caused New Orleans Mayor Ragin to stop allowing residents to come back for fears that this storm may also hit New Orleans. Meanwhile, NASA today unveiled their moon program to get humans back to the moon and eventually to Mars. The space ship and it's parts are very reminiscent of the Apollo shuttles and landers. NASA Adminstrator Michael Griffin was aware of this and told reporters in Washington, "Think of it as Apollo on steriods." Here is a link to a site explaining the mission as well as artists rendering of the new shuttle. Here's the link: NASA's New Spaceship. Below is the path of Tropical Storm Rita, courtsey of the National Hurricane Center, superimposed over a satellite image of the area, courtsey of Google Earth.

Some News For You To Look At

Alright, well, as the weekend comes to a close, time for a little news. First off, tourists are being told to leave the Florida Keys because of fears that Tropical Depression Eighteen might develop into a hurricane and is projected to pass near there. Right now, there is a hurricane watch in effect for the Florida Keys and parts of the Bahamas. To the east of Tropical Depression Eighteen, Tropical Storm Philippe became the 16th named storm of the season Saturday night. Philippe's three day forecast showed the storm heading to the northwest into the Atlantic. Federal investigators are if excess speed caused the commuter train derailment that killed two passengers and injured more than 80 others. The Metra train derailed Saturday at 47th Street and Wentworth Avenue right here in Chicago. Now for an update on the progress in the New Orleans. The death toll in Louisiana has risen to 646, according to the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals, up from 579 Friday evening. Some business owners and residents were able to return to New Orleans, and the return was "smooth and succesful," Mayor Ray Nagin said in a Statement. Things are starting to move forward there, but there is still a long way to go. That's all the news for now. I'll talk to people later. See ya.

Sense Something

Alright, well I've got a new life thingy to put out, but first a little news to get you up to speed. Not much in the news right now, but I'll give you an update on the conditions in the gulf in the aftermath of Katrina. New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin announced Thursday that some 182,000 residents of New Orleans will be allowed to return as floodwater continues to be pumped out of the city. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Thursday listed Katrina as "the most destructive hurricane to ever strike the U.S." The Louisiana death toll has risen to 558 Thursday according to state officials, up from 474 Wednesday. That's the interesting news as of right now. Now for the life thingy. I wrote this during History class today ironically enough while listening to music (you'll understand once you read it). I've already come up with a name, so you won't have to read my thoughts this time. The name is Senses. So, without further ado, here comes the next life thingy. Hope you like it.

Life is very strange. We find friends in unlikely places. We hear vibrations and we interpret them as sound, as speech, as music. Music is unbelievable. It can change us, move us, and inspire us. It's often a driving force and makes you think about the world in a new light, in a different perspective. What are senses show us reveal the world around us and show us how wonderful it is. Without them, there we would be nothing to see, nothing to experience, and there would be no reason to live, but we do, and they make life awesome. So, use them. See, Hear, Touch, Taste, Smell, and discover what the world has to offer. You'll be amazed at what your sense can show you.

News And A Life Thingy

Well, I'm going to publish my next life thing right now, but before I do, I'm going to give you some quick news headlines. Hurricane Ophelia is heading very slowly towards the Carolinas and is expected to make landfall sometime Thursday morning. The results from the EPA's water test of the water in New Orleans is that it is still unsafe, which will delay when evacuees can start returning to there homes. One last note, Delta Air Lines and Northwest both filed for bankruptcy today, making them the third and fourth major U.S. carriers to be operating under bankruptcy protection. That's all for the news right now. Now, the life thingy, and as per usual, I need to get a name. A name..... a name, a name, a name. Hmmmm..... maybe that one, nah. Here we go, that'll do. Okay, enough of my thoughts being typed, the name is Your Chance Is Here. Your Chance is Now. Hope you enjoy it, I'll talk to all you all later, have a good night and enjoy the life thingy.

Life is short. So much to do, so little time. We want to see the world and do everything we can, but we can't. We've got a limited amount of time, and we have to take advantage. Go take a risk, and take a chance, and enjoy life while you can, whether it be going real fast, or standing on the roof of your high school. Embrace life, and throw caution to the wind. Your chance is now, and you need to be able to enjoy life with the time you have. So take advantage of time you've got. Death comes quickly and unexpectedly. Who knows, you could be here today and gone tomorrow. Live each day as if it's your last because it could be. The world is unexplainable, so huge, so vast, so great, and such a wonderful thing to see that words cannot describe it. You have to go experience it, and it'll make sense. So, don't waste your chance, otherwise, it'll be gone before you know it. Don't be like everyone else. Be different. Be unique. Be yourself. Don't do what everyone else does. Take your own path and start a new road. Your life has various twists and turns, and will sometimes throw your for a loop, but your chance is here. Your chance is now. Take advantage of it. So, take a risk, go your own way, and make the best of it. See and experience what the world has to offer, and always be yourself, that's the best quality you have. Go and live your life now because tomorrow, it could be gone.

A Little News Tonight

Well, the Carolinas are already feeling the effects of Hurricane Ophelia as it bears down on them. The storm is moving north-northwest at about 3 mph and is expected to make landfall sometime in the afternoon Wednesday and will skirt the coast of the Carolinas before heading back out to sea where it will head away from the U.S. most likely. The death toll from Katrina in Lousiana has risen to 423 people according to state officials Tuesday. The mayor of New Orleans, Ray Nagin, said if that the EPA water quality report come back with good results, he will reopen parts of the city of New Orleans for business next week. That's most of the newest news at this time. I'll post some more info sometime tomorrow, depending on my workload. I'll also try to have another life thingy out before next week. I'll talk to people later. Have a good night, and one last thing, below is the path of Hurricane Ophelia, courtsey of the National Hurricane Center.

Not A Good Day For Me, But Hope Is Resurfacing In The Gulf

Ugh, today was not fun. I don't like migranes, they are pure evil. I feel much better now though, if anyone cares (which I hope they do). Anyway, I'm not going to ramble on about my day and how bad it was because that's cruel, so I'll let you know about what's going on in the news. Well, first of all after coming under fire because of the response to Hurricane Katrina, Mike Brown, the director of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) resigned today. Brown has also come under fire recently about his qualifications. When the president was asked about as he toured the devasted city of Gulfport, Mississippi, President Bush said he would not comment. Slowly, the gigantic pumps in New Orleans are coming back online, and the city is beginning to drain, and at last, there appears to be hope in a city hit and hurt so hard. The hundreds of workers at the Sewage and Water Board are exhausted to put it lightly. They have been working 24-7 to get the pumps back online and start to get the city of New Orleans drained. Not an easy task at all. It's going to be very difficult to get the city dry with electrical systems waterlogged and debris of all kind, including bodies, to deal with. Until they get all the pumps working the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers have brought in some portable pumps to begin draining the city. Alone, though, they won't do the job. Water levels have gone down noticeably in the last few days, but water still covers an estimated 50 percent of the city. Oh, one more piece of news. There is a book out about the gigantic search engine site, Google. It's called The Search by John Battelle. That's the news for now. I'll talk to people later. Have a good night.

Meet You At The Crossroads

Well, now that I've done my little rembrance thing for 9/11, I'm going to move on to other topics, not all happy, but some halfway decent. I'm also going to put out another life thingy based on just mostly this weekend and what's kind of happened during it. So, first I'll start off with the normal stuff, which basically means the news. President Bush is making his 3rd visit to the devasted regions of the Gulf Coast. The death toll is now expected to be much lower than orginally predicted. Hurricane Ophelia, right now a Category 1 storm with winds sustained at 80 mph might hit the Carolinas. Right now, it's expected to make landfall sometime around Wednesday night. The president's approval rating has dropped even lower now to 39 percent, reflecting the widespread doubts about his handling of gasoline prices and the response to Hurricane Katrina. That's pretty much the only intersting news right now. So onward to the life thingy. Ok, so I already talked about the background for this one. All we need know is a name. Hmmm........., let's see here. A name. A name, a name, a name. Wait..... no, that's stupid. Got it. Ok, I'm done typing my thoughts now, and the name for this life thingy is Crossroads. I hope you enjoy it, and that's all for today. So, here is my next life thingy. Talk to all you all later. Hope you enjoy the life thingy. See ya.

Life goes by so quick. It's kind of like a race. The road twists and turns. Don't follow the road all the time. Deviate from the path and make a new road, your own road. Don't follow the crowd. Sometimes your road is better, sometimes it isn't. It may put you out in front of the pack though. Make your own choices though. Don't let other people dictate what you can or can't do and what you should or shouldn't do. It's your life, it's your car, and it's your road. There are many paths in front of you. Only one choice can be made at these crossroads. Don't look back though. Sometimes you'll crash, but people will help you get going again. You are never alone, no one ever is, and you will need help at one time or another. You can't go through life alone. You can't win a race alone. With help though, you can reach your goals, and reach your dreams. You can finish first, and live the life you've always wanted to live. You can win. All you need is persistance, determination, and a bit of luck too. If you can get all those things and some good friends as well, you'll be set. So, I'll see you there, at the crossroads of life, and I hope you take the road less traveled because it might stick you in the right direction.

4 years ago, I was in fifth grade. 4 years ago, I was just beginning middle school. 4 years ago, the American way of life changed. 4 years ago, the Pentagon was attacked. 4 years ago, two towers collapsed. 4 years ago, thousands were killed. 4 years ago, the worst nightmare ever to occur on America, the believed impossible happened, and it forever changed a nation and a world. 9/11 is remembered today in the wake of another tradegy in the Gulf Coast, the destruction that Hurricane Katrina has left in her wake. It seems that September will always be remembered for the worst reasons as the workers, and families try to rebuild there lives in the Gulf Coast, as the people had in New York and the rest of the United States had to 4 years ago. It's amazing, 4 years changes a lot, and so another day begins, and another day ends. The only difference between this day and all the others is that something unexpected happened 4 years ago, and it will forever be remembered. No matter how much we want to go back and change it and make a difference, we can't. The only difference we can make is in the future. We survived 9/11 and we continue to live on through it. 4 years and 1 day ago, this nation, the United States, was different, and was thought to be a safe and good place to live. 4 years ago today, that thought, that way of life, changed, and it will, most likely, never change back. Sadly, that's the way life goes and there isn't a whole lot we can do about it. On September 11, 2001, everything changed and nothing will ever be the same.

Oh, Happy Day

We interrupt your regularly scheduled lives for this very quick thing. I'm so happy, over 200 people have visited my site since August 3, 2005. I don't know what to say, I'm so glad people are coming to visit the site and are enjoying my life things. All these people have put me in a joyous mood now, so thank you. I appreciate it. Okay, I'm done. You may return to your regularly scheduled lives. Thank you for listening.

Two For The Price of One

I was listening to cool, awesome music a few days ago, and starting writing another life thingy because my homework was done, and I didn't have much else to do. Now, today since I have no school (YES!!!) I'm listening to more music and doing more thinking and I write another one. So, you're going to get two life things in one post. The first one that I wrote a few days ago is called Start Something, and the second one, I'm in the process of thinking of a name for. Wait for it..., come on, something's got to come. I'm an idiot, that was obvious. Okay, enought of me typing my thoughts. The name of the second is Can We Try? Since I wrote Start Something first, that one will be first. So, here you go, two life things in one post, a new record. I think.

Life is way too short. You have to start it quickly and take the chances that you have. You have to go places, go everywhere, and see as much as the world as you can, the way it truly is. Nothing stops for you, and the world is constantly changing faster than the speed of, well, anything. You need to try things, do things, and discover whatever you can about this world and this universe that surrounds us. The stars inspire and the planets invoke a strange feeling. A feeling that you need to do more, and change something, to start something. To begin a movement, to define a purpose, and discover the truth. Some things aren't meant to be found and they will remain a mystery, a strange puzzle to us all. Some ideas are too strange and abstract for some to figure out, but an average person can and may understand it better than anyone else. Some things are too crazy to believe, but if and when you see it, it'll make sense and you'll understand. So, take a chance. Take a risk. Start a movement, and change the world and the universe, and try to point it in the right direction. Start something, why not?

And now, the second life thingy of the post, Can We Try?

Life is strange. The people in it are stranger. But, we rely on the some for help and they provide. Some do strange things that make no sense to the rest of us, but they must have a purpose, a reason behind it all. It's difficult to understand, so times impossible so it seems. Sometime we can never get over the racism, the religious differences, and look past it all to see a person, just trying to get along with their life, and try to enjoy it, just like everyone else. Can no one see it? Can we not get past it? Can we try and accept a person for who they are instead of what color, and what religion, and other reasons? Can't we all just see a person, a human being like the rest of us instead of labeling people? Can we try to? I don't know, it's a hard thing to do, but some have, so why can't we all. We all have to stand together and do what we believe is right for ourselves and everyone else. You may walk a lonely road now, but it won't last long. We need friends, family, and everyone to get through everything. It's too hard to get through life without anyone to help you and anyone to celebrate anything with. So, don't stand alone going through life on your own when people will be glad to help you along the way. Give it a try. It might just work out.

Some New and Interesting Stuff (At Least to Me)

Well, here we go. I've got some new stuff to talk about since current events don't stop since I've go out of town, and I'll tell you about some other stuff too, but we'll start with the news. First of all, Head Supreme Court Justice William Rehnquist died Saturday night after a long battle with thyroid cancer, and President Bush has asked Judge John Roberts, who was orginally nominated to fill the seat left by Sandra Day O'Connor to take up the head position at the Supreme Court. Also in the news, both levees have been sealed up and two pumping stations are working to begin to drain the city. Things are getting better in New Orleans, but it's still bad there. Officials are saying that due to the damage Katrina caused the Superdome, it may have to be torn down. Many people are refusing to leave New Orleans now that they have been let in to inspect the damage. That's pretty much the news for now, I'm going to move on. I did some pretty cool stuff while in Providence and Boston. I helped my sister move into Brown University where she is going to school. After we moved her in, we went and saw Waterfire, this amazing show that the city of Providence puts on every once in a while during the summer on Saturdays. If you ever get the chance, go and see it, it's really wonderful. I went and saw some of the oldest buildings in the world in Boston before I left to come back to Chicago, including the oldest church in the U.S., where Benjamin Franklin's parents are buried, where Paul Revere, and John Hancock are buried, and where Paul Revere lived at one point. Finally, I had some extra time during while my parents and sister were out getting some stuff for my sister's room, and wrote a new life thingy. I'm going to think of a name, give me a second, wait for it... wait for it, ah, got it, Life, One Word, A Million Possibilities. One more thing, I'm probably going to be adding quotes to the bottom of my post from people, maybe songs, but probably not cause other people do that, and I'm not other people, but I'm going to figure out some little signature or something to add to the bottom to make things interesting for some people and me, you know, I do get bored sometimes. Actually, I get bored a lot, but not as much now with school and other stuff going on. Anyway, I'm going to stop boring you, and give you my life thingy. I hope you like it, and as always leave comments, and give me feedback on it. I will appreciate it a ton, seriously, I will. This post was way too long, I've got to limit these things and for some reason Blogger isn't letting me upload my image. I'll try to upload the one I had in mind later if I can, but for now I'll stop blabbing and here you go, my new life thingy, starting right....... about ......... now.

Can you give me directions to life? I don't know. Life is a crazy deal. No one can tell you how to live it. It's your life, not someone else's. It's out of this world and the only thing stranger in life is the people that you are going to meet in it. Some people you may orginally think you won't get along with or like, but you end up learning to deal with them and becoming friends. Life's weird that way, and before you know it, you've lived your life, and all you have... are the memories. Memories of the good, the bad, and yes, even sometimes, the ugly. That's life, one word, a million possibilities. So can you give me directions to life? No, no I can't. Here is something I can give you though. Go take risks and live your life while you have the chance. Take a chance, go jump off a cliff that you don't know where the water is below or how deep the water is. A nasty end, perhaps, but, ah, what a glorious flight on the way.

I'm Back

I'm alive, and back from Boston and Providence and those places which isn't suprising, but anyway, moving on. Had a good time, wrote another life thingy, and my sister has a wonderful room, courtsey of my mom (she does stuff like that). I'll talk more about it later. Right now, I've gone through e-mail and now I need to go finish up my World History paper (which basically means I've barely started it.) So, I'll talk more later, I'll be on AIM as per usual unless my computer decides to be crappy, which it might, but otherwise I'll talk to people later, hope you enjoyed your labor day weekend. See ya!
